The Bible is believed to be the best-selling book with over 6 billion copies in circulation worldwide. More than 80 percent of Americans own a copy of the Bible. But how much do they actually know about it? “The American Bible Challenge”, a game show brought to you by The Salvation Army airing on GSNTV, is hosted by author and comedian Jeff Foxworthy, and aims to find out exactly that. It also aims to donate proceeds to charity, namely The Salvation Army. For every download of the game app, GSN will donate $1 to us. Foxworthy, a devout Christian himself, has made several appearances on television, most notably in “Blue Collar TV,” as the host of “Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?” and as the star of “The Jeff Foxworthy Show.”
Aiming to be family-friendly, the weekly show, which premiered last night, featured 18 teams who competed based on their knowledge of the Bible. Each team is playing for a charity, and these charitable organizations range from churches to hospitals. As the show progresses, the contestants will share their compelling faith stories. Learn more about the teams and charities here.
Do you have what it takes to be on The American Bible Challenge? Maybe not, but you can enjoy the app and help needy folks in our area. The American Family Bible Challenge airs on GSN Thursday nights at 7PM CT.
